W ith over twenty-five years of comprehensive business, management and sales experience, James Kirk first earned the Kentucky Real Estate Sales Agent License in 1978 as a student at Western Kentucky University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising / Journalism.
His experience includes the successful development and implementation of numerous sales and marketing plans on behalf of several Fortune 500 companies, in addition to negotiating national account service contracts within the highly competitive commercial transportation industry.
Having conducted customer retention training programs for Toyota, he has also earned excellence awards for achievement from Mercedes-Benz of North America, Volvo North America and Dealer Tire, LLC.
As a founding partner in Preferred Properties Real Estate, he specializes in commercial real estate sales, leasing, and development, working with local agencies toward the continued growth and development of the Bardstown-Nelson County region, having recently negotiated both the lease and sale of the new U S Postal Service Center in Bardstown.
A candidate for the coveted CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation awarded by the National Association of Realtors, he is active in the Bardstown business community hosting a live radio show “Local Business Matters” on WBRT, and serves as an instructor for Elizabethtown Community and Technical College teaching management and leadership classes for area corporations. |
